The Captioneer plugin for Premiere Pro now includes Auto Captions! Transcribe audio offline and create animated captions in 99+ languages.
If you already use Captioneer to add animated captions in Premiere Pro, there’s great news for you. The plugin just got a massive update.
The new Auto Captions feature completely changes how you create and animate captions inside Premiere Pro.
Previously, Captioneer relied on Premiere Pro’s built-in transcription tool to generate captions. That meant you had to switch between Premiere Pro’s Text panel and Captioneer, adding unnecessary steps to your workflow.
But not anymore.
With this update, Captioneer can now automatically transcribe your audio directly inside its own panel. No more jumping back and forth, no more exporting SRT files.
Everything happens seamlessly inside Captioneer.
Offline And Unlimited Transcription
Unlike Premiere Pro’s native transcription tool, which requires an active internet connection, Captioneer’s Auto Captions feature works completely offline.
That means you can transcribe your videos anytime, anywhere, even without internet access.
And it gets better. The transcription is unlimited. You can generate as many captions as you want without worrying about additional fees or restrictions.
How To Use The New Auto Captions Feature
Using this new feature is incredibly simple.
- Download Captioneer and install the plugin.
- Open Premiere Pro, go to Window → Extensions → Captioneer to launch the plugin.
- Once it’s open, go to the Captions tab and select Auto Captions.
- Choose your video’s language. Captioneer supports over 99 languages. So whether your video is in English, Hindi, Spanish, or almost any other language, Captioneer can handle it with ease and accuracy.
- Go to the MOGRTs tab and choose from Captioneer’s built-in animated text styles, or import your own Motion Graphics Templates (MOGRTs). You can even use text animation templates downloaded from Envato Elements or other marketplaces, making Captioneer extremely flexible and customizable.
- Next, go to the CREATE tab. Choose whether you want to transcribe the full sequence or just a specific section (using In and Out points). Then click on Add MOGRTs and wait for the transcription to complete. The processing time will depend on your video’s length. Longer videos take a bit more time.
- Once the transcription is done, you’ll find the captions on a new track in your timeline. If Captioneer makes any small mistakes, don’t worry, just double-click on the captions layer and manually edit the text.
This Update Is A Game-Changer
This update makes Captioneer the only Premiere Pro plugin that offers offline, unlimited transcription integrated directly into your editing workflow.
It’s faster, it’s smarter, and it gives editors complete control without leaving Premiere Pro.
So if you already have Captioneer, make sure to update to the latest version and try out the new Auto Captions feature today. And if you haven’t tried it yet, you can download Captioneer from the official website.
With this new update, Captioneer isn’t just a captioning tool anymore; it’s now an all-in-one captioning and animation solution for Premiere Pro.
