Video Copilot as always surprised the After Effects community with their new free plugin – SABER. This free After Effects plugin can be used to create energy beams, lightsabers, Lasers, Portals, Neon Lights, Electric, Haze.
SABER plugin for After Effects features realistic glow fall-off, advanced core settings, built-in distortion, 25 presets, dynamic text and mask outlines and more.
The plugin was first announced on Videocopilot blog on February 18th 2016. Though the plugin was meant to be released on February 22nd, the release date was later changed to March 4th.
Before putting up the actual plugin online, Videocopilot released a trailer and trust me, it is awesome. For those with trust issues, you can watch the awesomeness below.
After all the hard work and efforts by Andrew Kramer and his team, SABER was released on March 5th 2016. You can download the free plugin RIGHT HERE. It is available for both Windows & MAC versions of After Effects.
